Preoperational Stage (Piaget) | 2-7 years old. The childrendo not yet understand concrete logic, cannot mentally manipulate information, and are unable to take the point of view of other people. Egocentrism and Conservation occur during this stage |

Guided Reading | The teacher helps students learn to use reading strategies, such as context clues, letter and sound knowledge, word structure, as they read a text or book that is unfamiliar to them. students to read independently on their own to become fluent |
