Order of Operations | Parenthesis, Exponents, Multiply and Divide from left to right, Add and Subtract from left to right |
Unit Price | Price ÷ Size |
Area of Rectangle | A = lw |
Area of Parallelogram | A = bh |
Area of Triangle | A = ½bh |
Area of Trapezoid | A = ½h(b + b) |
Area of Circle | A = π times radius squared |
Circumference of Circle | C = πd |
Volume of Rectangular Prism | V = lwh |
Diameter | line that goes all the way across the circle passing through the center |
Radius | line that goes half way across the circle from the outside edge to the center |
Mean | Average - Add up all numbers and divide by how many numbers there are |
Median | Middle Number(s) - List numbers least to greatest. Find middle number. If two are in the middle, add them together and divide by 2 |
Mode | Number repeated the most |
Range | Maximum - Minimum |
Lower Extreme | Minimum |
Upper Extreme | Maximum |
Lower Quartile | Median of the lower half of numbers |
Upper Quartile | Median of the upper half of numbers |
Outlier | Number that is much greater or much less than the other numbers in the list. It makes the mean not accurate. |
Interquartile Range | Upper Quartile - Lower Quartile |
Mean Absolute Deviation (MAD) | The average of how much each number varies (or is different) from the mean. |
