Amendments
A study list for all the Amendments of the united sates of America.

First Amendment | 3 freedoms of the people: freedom of religion, freedom of speech, and freedom of press. The government can't interfere with these terms, so it puts little limits, on the government. |
Second Amendment | The freedom of owning a firearm, for the security of a free state. |
Third Amendment | The people have right to there household, and the government can't abuse these terms. |
Fourth Amendment | People have the right to have piracy, in a household, the police have to arrest and search your house. |
Fifth Amendment | You can't incriminate yourself, and you can't be charged twice when on bail. |
Sixth Amendment | Everyone has a fair trail now matter what the crime. |
Seventh Amendment | Who ever sues more the 20$ has to go to court to testify. |
Eighth Amendment | A person has to bail money to get a person out of jail. |
Ninth Amendment | there are other rights that may exist aside from the ones explicitly mentioned, and even though they are not listed, it does not mean they can be violated. |
Tenth Amendment | States have to right reserve power, not be completely controlled by the federal government. |
Eleventh Amendmemt | a citizen or foreign country who lawsuits against a state, must testify in a state court. |
Tweleth Amendment | elections from the president and the vice president must be separate. And prohibits electors from voting for two candidates from there home state. |
Thirteenth Amendment | Prohibits the bind of a person due to perform personal service due to debt, and the supreme court has held that the draft is not a violation of the amendment. |
Fourthteenth Amendment | There are 4 clauses in the 14th amendment: 1) All citizens have the right to there liberty, 2) The representives of each state are based on numbers. 3) if you are in one branch of gov you cant switch 4) gov not responible for debt in milltary. |
Fifthtenth Amendment | The 15th Amendment replaced the section 1 of the 14th amendment, stating that the African Americans right to vote was left of the states. In 1955's the amendment was altered to end racial discrimination in voting rights. |
Sixtieth Amendment | To authorized a income tax that was levied on a direct bases. |
Seventeenth Amendment | The right to elect senators was given directly to the people of each state. designed to make the choice of senators more democratic. |
Eighteenth Amendment | This amendment prohibited the production, ale, or transportation of alcoholic beverages in the United States. |
Ninthtenth Amendment | This amendment extended the vote to all qualified women in federal and states elections. |
Twentieth Amendment | There are two major purposes to this amendment: to shorten the time between the president's and vice president's election and inauguration, and to end "lame-duck" in Congress. |
Twenty First Amendment | This amendment nullified the 18th amendment, it remained unlawful to transport alcohol beverages into states that forbade their use. |
Twentieth Second Amendment | endures that no president is to be considered indispensable. It also provides that anyone who succeeds to the presidency and serves for more than tow years of the term may not be elected more than one more time. |
Twentieth Third Amendment | People livng in the District of Clumbia have the right in presidential elctions. |
Twentieth Fourth Amendment | People living in southern states had to pay a "poll tax" when they voted on federal government elections and bills. |
Twentieth Fifth Amendment | The vice president becomes president of the president is removed from office. |
Twentith sixth Admendment | 18 can vote in federal, state, and local elections. |
Twenith Seven Admendment | Any increase of the salaries of members of Congress will take effect in the subsequent session of congress. |
