Serum Electrolytes DURING PE/ HEMODYNAMIC VALUES DECREASE: | During Dehydration: electrolyte values such as K+, Ca+, & Cl- can be altered. |
The Color "DUSKY" or "PALE" is most often associated with: | Anemia or lack of blood. This can be caused from hemorrhaging or massive vasodilation (shock). |
TEMPERARUE: | helpful baseline info used to assess for an infection. Even if Temp is slightly elevated it should cause for mild concern. It could represent the beginning of an infectious process though not conclusive. |
(IF PE patient) CXR shows lack of a "wedge- shaped" infiltrate suggests: | the previous pulmonary clot is resolved. |
What does Hemoglobin (Hb) tell you: | tells you about the "Oxygen carrying capacity of the blood". |
Low/ Reduced Hb suggests: | anemia or lack of blood |
INR (long bone fractures/ PE / Trauma); International Normalized Ratio | method for determining blood coagulation tendency |
Frequent PVC's suggest inadequate O2 to the: | Heart |
CVP: | 2-6 mmHg or 4-12 cmH2O |
Low CVP: | most often associated with Hypovolemia |
