ray a straight row of points that start at one point and go on forever in one direction
line a straight row of points that go on forever in both directions
line segment a row of points that start at one specific point and ends at another
angle a pair of rays, lines. or line segments that meet at one common point, or vertex
vertex a point where two lines, rays, or line segments meet to create an angle
parallel lines lines that are the same distance between one another and that never cross
perpendicular lines lines, rays, or line segments that cross one another
point a specific location in space
acute angle an angle that measures less than 90 degrees but more than 1 degree
obtuse angle an angle that measure more than 90 degrees and less than 180degrees
right angle an angle that measures exactly 90 degrees
straight angle an angle that measures exactly 180 degrees
unit angle an angle that measures 1 degree
reflex angle an angle that is greater than 180 degrees but less than 360 degrees
intersecting lines lines that cross and make a "v" or make an angle that is less than 90 degrees or more than 90 degrees
protractor a tool used to measure an angle
benchmark angle angles such as 45° (half of a right angle), 90° (right) and 180° (straight), that can be used as a reference to estimate an angle's size
