Cataracts | These are the steep rapids and waterfalls along the Nile River. |
Sahara Desert | This desert is west of the Nile River and covers the northern 1/3 of Africa. |
Delta | This is the triangle-shaped area north of the Nile River that has really fertile soil. |
Silt | When the Nile River floods, it leaves behind this really fertile soil. |
