Heat transfer

Thermal Heat Energy the energy contained within a system that is responsible for its temperature
Conduction The process by which heat or electricity is directly transmitted through a substance when there is a difference of temperature or of electrical potential between adjoining regions, without movement of the material.
Convection the movement caused within a fluid by the tendency of hotter and therefore less dense material to rise, and colder, denser material to sink under the influence of gravity
Electromagnetic Waves a form of radiation that travel though the universe
Conductor a material or device that conducts or transmits heat, electricity, or sound,
Insulator a substance which does not readily allow the passage of heat or sound
Radiation energy that comes from a source and travels through space at the speed of light
Temperature the degree or intensity of heat present in a substance or object
Transfer to convey or remove from one place
Expand become or make larger or more extensive
Contract decrease in size, number, or range
Cycle a series of events that are regularly repeated in the same order
