TermDefinition
cell nucleus Enclosed by the nuclear envelope and outer membrane. The nuclear envelope separates it from the cytoplasm. The nucleus contains genetic information such as DNA and RNA.
mitochandria Also known as the "power house" of the cell. Responsible for making ATP via enzymes.
golgi apparatus organelle responsible for transportation and secretion of vesicles.
rough endoplasmic reticulum Associated with endoplasmic reticulum; ribosomes are associated with rough E.R. and synthesize proteins that are then secreted.
smooth endoplasmic reticulum Associated with endoplasmic reticulum; contains enzymes that catalyze reactions.
