How do dogs and cats cool down when it's hot and dry? By panting
What are some physical adaptations have to stay warm in cold climates? More blubber, longer fur, and a thicker coat.
Why are polar bears white, not brown like the bears in the forest? To blend into their surroundings and avoid predators.
How do organisms adapt to a lack of food? By using stored food. Such as fat and stored sugars.
How do animals in the desert adapt to high temperatures? They learn to conserve water. They also only come out at night.
Why do organisms hibernate (go dormant)? To conserve resources like food and water when they are limited.
What is a physical adaptation? A change to an organisms's body.
What is a behavioral adaptation? A change in how an organism acts.
What is an adaptation? A change to an organism to allow it to survive in it's environment.
