Traveling vocabulary--Future 3 Unit 5

TermDefinition
arrival coming to a place you are traveling to
bin a container for moving or storing things
boarding pass a document that allows you to get on an airplane
carry-on bag a small bag you can keep with you on an airplane
departure leaving the place you are traveling from
e-ticket a ticket bought online and stored on your computer or phone
gate a place in the airport where passengers get on or off of an airplane
kiosk a small open shop or booth
luggage bags or cases for carrying clothes and other items when you travel
luggage tag a small card attached to your suitcase that has your name and address on it
metal detector a machine used to see if people are hiding metal objects such as weapons
passenger a person who travels in a plane, car, bus, etc.
security agent a person whose job is to guard a building or protect valuables
ticket agent a person who sells tickets for travel or other services
X-ray machine a device that uses powerful invisible rays to see inside things
arrival and departure display an electronic board that displays flight information
