TFL | O:Anterior-most part of iliac crest
I: Descends vertically and inserts into ant. portion of the IT band (1/3 of the way down)
A: Contributes to thigh flexion and IR. Not primary mover

Piriformis | O: Deep or ventral aspect of the sacrum
I: Fibers pass anterolaterally through the greater sciatic foramen (which muscle fills). Medial aspect of greater trochanter.
A: ER femur
I: (S1, S2 PD)

Superior Gemellus | O: Ischial spine
I: join tendon of Obturator Internus into greater trochanter
A: ER femur
I: (L5-S2 AD)

Inferior Gemellus | O: Ischial tuberosity
I: join tendon of Obturator Internus into greater trochanter

I: (L4-S1 AD)

Obturator Internus | O: Deep aspect of the rim of obturator foramen
I: Medial aspect of the greater trochanter
Note: tendon glides around smooth bony ant. wall of lesser sciatic foramen to insertion

Quadratus Femoris | O: Lateral aspect of ischial body
I: fibers pass laterallt. Central aspect of the posterior intertrochanteric region of the femur
