RATE   The comparison of two different units of measurement.

UNIT RATE   The comparison of two different units of measurement where the second unit of measurement is always singular or 1.

PROPORTIONAL RELATIONSHIP   A relationship between the input and output units of measurement that are related by a constant of proportionality.

CONSTANT OF PROPORTIONALITY   Describes a proportional relationship when all of the unit rates calculated in a problem have the same value.

INPUT   The value of the units of measurement that are represented on the x-axis on a graph and in the x column of a table. Units of Measurement include TIME

OUTPUT   The value of the units of measurement that are represented on the y-axis on a graph and in the y column of a table. Units of Measurement include MONEY and DISTANCE

CONSTANT RATE   A list of unit rates that are the same value.

ORIGIN   The point where the x and y axis meet. The coordinate is (0,0)

MULTIPLICATIVE RELATIONSHIP   Description of a proportional relationship where the input is always multiplied by the constant unit rate to generate the output.

EQUATION   Two expressions made up of numbers, variables and math operations that are equal to each other.

VARIABLE   A letter that represents a value we do not know

UNITS OF MEASURE   A value of time, distance, money and weight.
