PERT Program and Evaluation Review Technique. Técnica de evaluación y revisión de programas.
Utilización preponderante de PERT Se utiliza para la administración de tiempos cuando no se conocen datos históricos de duración de las actividades.
Análisis de redes. Esquema de las distintas actividades del proyecto y cálculo de la ruta crítica.
Objetivos del análisis PERT 1.-Administrar los riesgos del proyecto desarrollando la alternativa más corta posible dentro de la ruta crítica. 2.- Monitorear el progreso del proyecto. 3.- Agregar nuevos recursos a fin de mantener la agenda del proyecto.
Diferencia de PERT con otras técnicas cuantitativas. Se sustenta en el reconocimiento de que las estimaciones de tiempo son inciertas y por tanto, utiliza rangos de duracion de actividades y sus probabilidades de ocurrencia.
Estimación de la duración de una actividad en PERT. Utiliza 3 escenarios: el más probable, el optimista y el pesimista.

m Tiempo más probable de duración de la actividad.
b Estimación pesimista del tiempo de duración de la actividad.
Te= (a+4m+b)/6 Fórmula basada en los principios de estadística, que combina las estimaciones de tiempo de los 3 escenarios:optimista, pesimista y más probable. Es la ESTIMACIÓN DEL TIEMPO ESPERADO PROMEDIO para realizar una actividad.
Para que se utiliza el valor: "Te" Se utiliza en el análisis PERT como la duración de una actividad particular dentro de un proyecto.
Fórmula de la desviación estándar. DE= (b-a)/6
Intervalo de confianza que indica la probabilidad de ocurrencia de un rango de tiempos. Te+/-1DE, el 68,26% de las veces. Te+/- 2DE, el 95,44% de las veces. Te+/- 3DE, el 99,72% de las veces.
Varianza Desviación estandar al cuadrado.
