*Connective Tissue

QuestionAnswer
This Tissue type helps provide Immunity? Connective Tissue.
Connective Tissue are?(Very diverse from blood to bone)and? Cells suspended in an Extracellular Matrix.-Matrix is "Ground Substance" (such as bone) and or "Fibers" of protien and or plasma'-Supports and binds stuctures together.-Some cells store fat for energy( Adipose)
Connective Tissue Cell Types.--"Blast" Type Cells Do What? Retain ability to divide and produce Matrix.(fibroblast, Chondroblast, and Osteoblast)
Connective Tissue Cell Types.--"Cyte" Type Cells Are ? Mature Cells that can NOT divide or produce Matrix. (Chondrocyte, and Osteocyte)
Connective Tissue Cell Types.--1. Macrophanges(Interstitual Fluid) Macrophanges- Develope from monocytes (Type of White Blood Cell). These Macropahnges engulf Bacteria and debris by Phagocytosis.
Connective Tissue Cell Types.--2. Plasma Cells Plasma Cells develop from B lymphocytes (type of White Blood Cell) And produce antibodies that fight against foriegn substances.
Connective Tissue Cell Types.--3.Mast Cells Mast Cells produce Histamine that dilate Blood vessels and Heprin (an anticoagulant) to help mediate Inflammation/similar to Basophil.
Connective Tissue Cell Types.--4.White Blood Cells White Blood Cells--Eosinophils, Basophilis,nutrophils,monocytes,lymphocytes(T-cells and B cells)
B cells and T cells Immature Lymphocytes turn into either B Cells-Plasma cell that produces antibodies. Or--T Cells (Killer T Cell)Kills cells that have virius, Bacteria, Kills Tumors
Connective Tissue Cell Types.--5. Adipocytes Fat Cells store fat for energy.
Connective Tissue Cell Types.--6.Fibroblast Form a collagen Matrix around all epithelial cells.
Connective Tissue Cell Types.--7.Osteoblast Produce bone becoming Osteocytes (connective)
Connective Tissue Cell Types.--8.Chondroblasts Producing Cartilage becoming Chondocytes.
Connective Tissue Ground Substance.\does what? Supports the Connective Tissue cells and fibers and-- Helps determine the consistancy of the Matrix- fluid, gel or solid.

Use these flashcards to help memorize information. Look at the large card and try to recall what is on the other side. Then click the card to flip it. If you knew the answer, click the green Know box. Otherwise, click the red Don't know box.

When you've placed seven or more cards in the Don't know box, click "retry" to try those cards again.

If you've accidentally put the card in the wrong box, just click on the card to take it out of the box.

You can also use your keyboard to move the cards as follows:

If you are logged in to your account, this website will remember which cards you know and don't know so that they are in the same box the next time you log in.

When you need a break, try one of the other activities listed below the flashcards like Matching, Snowman, or Hungry Bug. Although it may feel like you're playing a game, your brain is still making more connections with the information to help you out.
