Explain the difference between laws and regulations and their respective authorities | Laws-are statements of public policy voted on and passed by the U.S. Congress and signed by the President. Regulations- are written by ATF employees, signed by the Director of ATF, and approved by the U.S. Attorney General, derive authority from law |
4 Elements for a Correct Citation of a regulation. | 1. The Code of Federal Regulations title number. 2. Abbreviation for Code of Federal Regulations being “CFR.” 3. The part number (followed by a period.) 4. The section number. |
