What are offspring children or young animals in relation to parents
What are species A group of individuals having some common characteristics
What are genetics Produced or influenced by genes
What is heredity Transfer of genetic characteristics from parent to offspring
What does resemble mean to be like or similar
DNA Material that transfer genetic characteristics from parent to offspring
What is a gene Part of the DNA that transfers genetic characteristics from parent to offspring
what is a chromosome One of the rod-shaped or threadlike DNA-containing bodies of a cell nucleus that contains all or most of the genes of an organism and can be seen especially during cell division
allele A gene that has two or more variations
inheritance What you get from your parents or someone else in your family
trait variation Differences in the traits that are inherited
dominant trait A genetic trait that is stronger than the other trait you inherit from your parent and therefore you will have that trait
recessive trait A genetic trait that will only be seen in your genetics if both parents give you the recessive trait
physical trait An observable characteristic that is determined by your genes
Nucleus The brain of the cell
