Air polisher used to smooth and shine painted surfaces by spinning a soft buffing pad
Cloth or cotton polishing pad used when heavy polishing is needed. The pad is very tough and will cut paint smoothly and quickly.
foam rubber polishing pad commonly used for final polishing to remove swirl marks. It is very soft and will produce a higher luster than a cloth pad.
swirl marks tiny unwanted, circular marks that can be seen after buffing
pad cleaning tool(spur) a metal star wheel and handle that will clear dried polishing compound out of the cloth or cotton pad
air tool lubrication involves injecting drops of oil into the air inlet of all air tools to prevent tion of vehicle's surfaces, use only special air tool oil corrosion and friction damage.
in line oiler an attachment that will automatically meter oil into air lines for air tools.
Blaster air powered tools for forcing sand, plastic beads, or another material onto surfaces for paint removal.
hand blaster small, portable tool for blasting parts and panels on the vehicle
cabinet blaster stationary enclosure equipped with a sand or bead blast tool.
spray gun used to apply sealer, primer, color, and clear materials to the vehicle
atomize to break the liquid into very tiny droplets or a fine mist
gun body holds the parts that meter air and liquid
spray gun cup fits onto the bottom or on top of the body to hold the material to be sprayed
fluid control valve can be turned to adjust the amount of paint or other material emitted
fluid needle valve seats in the fluid tip to prevent flow or it can be pulled back to allow flow.
air control valve controls how much air flows out of the air cap side jets
spray gun air cap works with the air valve to control the spray pattern of the paint. It screws over the front of the gun head.
spray pattern the shape of the atomized spray when it hits the body
Gravity feed spray gun mounts the cup on top of the spray gun head so that the pull of gravity helps the material flow out of the cup
