Ecosystem the living and non-living objects in an environment.
Biome is like an Ecosystem
Biotic living things
Abiotic nonliving things
Aquatic any ecosystem with water
Terrestrial any ecosystem with land
Estuary or a salt marsh, is made up of brackish water (mix of salt and fresh water)
Lakes and Ponds body of fresh water
Ocean body of salt water, has lots of biodiversity.
Tropical Rainforest On land, It’s very hot, humid, & wet. It has the most variety of life.
Deciduous forest Our ecosystem where we live. Has 4 seasons in a year.
Grassland or savanna has few trees, lots of bushes. Similar setting as the movie Lion King
Tundra or artic Very cold, lots of snow, no greenery.
Desert Very hot and dry, little precipitation, can get very cold at night.
Producers Organisms that produce, or make, their own food.
Consumer Organisms that EAT their food.
Decomposers Organisms that break down dead things.
Herbivore Eats only plants
Carnivore Eats only meat
Omnivore Eats plants and meat
Scavenger Eats only dead things.
Food Chain / Wed Shows where the energy is moving between organisms.
