Homeostasis A state of balance among all the systems needed for the body to survive and function correctly.
Osmosis diffusion of water
Diffusion movement of particles from areas of high concentration to areas of low concentration
Stimulus anything that causes some change in an organism
Response reaction to stimulus
Sensory receptor specialized cells that detect changes in the environment
Motor neuron cells in the brain and spinal cord that allow us to move, speak, swallow and breathe
