What is Hue? the name given to a color
What does intensity mean? the brightness or dullness of colors
What are the three components of the color wheel? primary, secondary, and tertiary colors
What are the primary colors? red, blue, and yellow
What are the secondary colors? violet, green, and orange
What are the tertiary colors? red-violet, blue-violet, blue-green, yellow-green, yellow-orange, and red-orange
What does the word tint mean? a value lighter than that on a color wheel
What does the word shade mean? a value darker than that on a color wheel
What color is added to create a tint? white
What color is added to create a shade? black
What does a Monochromatic Harmony/Scheme mean? 1 color with tints and shades
What does a Complimentary Harmony/Scheme mean? 2 colors directly across from each other on the color wheel
What does a Analogous Harmony/Scheme mean? 3 or more colors next to each other on the color wheel
How many colors from the color wheel are represented in a Monochromatic Harmony/Scheme? 1 color
How many colors from the color wheel are represented in a Complimentary Harmony/Scheme? 2 colors
