QuestionAnswer
A horizontal or vertical line that establishes the relationship between data in a chart. Axis
A graphical representation of data. Chart
The entire chart and all other chart elements. Chart Area
An arrangement that specifies which elements are includedin a chart and where they are placed. Chart Layout
A seperate sheet in a workbookthat stores a chart. Chart Sheet
Formatting applied to a chart based on the colors, fonts, and the effects associated with the workbook's theme. Chart Style
A chart that uses varying heights to illustrate values in a worksheet. Column Chart
Text or numbers that provides additional information about a data marker. Data Label
A chart symbol (such as a bar, line, dot, slice, and so forth) that represents a single data point or value from the corresponding worksheet cell. Data Marker
A group of related information in a column or row of a worksheet that iis plotted on a chart. Data Series
The file that contains the records or fields used in another document or file; could be a Word document, an Excel workbook, or an Access database. In Excel, a range of cells that stores the data plotted on a chart. Data Source
A grid that displays the data plotted in a chart. Data Table
A chart that is inserted in the center of the worksheet. Embedded Chart
A pie chart with one or more slices pulled away from the pie to distinguish them. Exploded Pie Chart
A list that identifies patterns, symbols, or colors used in a chart. Legend
A chart that uses points connected by a line to illustrate values in a worksheet. Line Chart
A chart that shows the relationship of a part to a whole. Pie Chart
The graphical representation of all the data series. Plot Area
A chart that shows the relationship between two categories of data; sometimes called an XY chart. Scatter Chart
The marker that surrounds a selected chart element. Selection Box
A square, or circle, or set of three dots that appears on a selection rectangle around an object and that you can drag to resize the object. Sizing Handles
