Early Intervention Programs | Criteria - 'at risk' status of child 0-3 -- child has 33% delay in one are of development or 25% in 2 areas -- 6 mth reviews to determine continuation of services |
Schools | Criteria - OT will help child benefit from special education, facilitate participation in educational activities, enhance child's functional performance |
Supported Education Programs | Criteria - adolescents & adults who need to develop skills that are needed to succeed in secondary and/or post secondary education |
Prevocational Programs | Criteria - adolescents or adults who require intervention to develop skills that are prerequisite to work -- LOS depends on agency funding & goal attainment |
Vocational Programs | Criteria - participant has prerequisite abilities to work but requires training for a specific job -- has to develop work capacities to a level acceptable for competitive employment |
Residential Programs | For developmental, medical, or psychiatric condition that has resulted in functional deficits that impede I living, not severe enough to require hospitalization (transitional living: quarter-way & half-way homes - long-term: group homes, supportive apts.) |
