| cell | phone or microscopic structure. This can also refer to a small room (jail cell) |

| sell | an action (I want to sell my car) |
| choose | present tense: I choose to ignore you |
| chose | past tense: He chose the opposite direction |
| emigrate | To LEAVE a country (emigrate FROM) |
| immigrate | To ENTER a country (immigrate TO) |
| farther | distance (I can run farther than he can) |
| further | time or ideas (We won't discuss this any further) |
| knew | past tense of "to know" |
| new | opposite of "old" |
| loose | opposite of "tight" |
| lose | to misplace |
| passed | past tense of "to pass." (He passed me on the sidewalk). |
| past | history (it is in the past). |
| quite | very much (He is quite the comedian) |
| quiet | opposite of loud |
| quit | to give up |
| they're | they are (They're best friends) |
| their | belonging to someone else (I went to their house for dinner) |
| there | location (If you look over there you will see Mt. Rushmore). |
| weak | opposite of strong (my arms were weak after lifting weights for an hour). |
