TermDefinition
fraction represents a part of a whole object, set,or unit. Written using two whole numbers seperated by a bar.
numerator the number above the fraction bar.
denominator the number below the fraction bar.
unit fraction a fraction that has anumerator of 1 and a denominator that is a positive integer greater than one.
equivelant fraction fractions that represent the same part to whole relationship are equivelant fractions.
