Disciple | A person who helps spread the religious teachings of another. |
Constantine | Constantine was an emperor in 312 A.D. and had a dream about Jesus,and helped Christianity become a religion. |
Parable | A simple story that explains a moral or religious lesson. |
Judea | The birthplace of Christianity and was once its own kingdom, but then was taken by Roman rule, and was Jewish. |
Crucify | The act of getting nailed to a cross and suffering until death. |
Prefect | A high official in ancient Rome. |
Resurrect | The act of bringing a dead organism back to life. |
New Testament | Four writings called gospels that are in the Christian bible. |
Blasphemy | A lack of reverance for god, ireverance against something considered sacred. |
Gospels | An account of the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. |
Missionary | Someone who tries to persuade others to believe in his or her religious teachings. |
Messiah | A savior that many Jews believed had been promised by. |
