What are Traditional Practice Areas? Mental Health, Physical Disability, Pediatrics, Geriatrics, Industrial
What are Emerging Practicing Areas? Technology, Wellness/Health promotion/ Disease Prevention, Productive Aging, Ergonomics, Universal Design, Mental Health: children and returning soldiers.
Technology? Telehealth,Telerehabilitation, assistive technology, using new technology for OT.
Wellness/Prevention? Individual interventions, organization level interventions, community or population level interventions, government or policy level interventions.
Productive Aging Aging-in-place, health promotion, work/lesiure/community activities, driving, low vision. dementia, caregiver issues.
Mental Health Returning veterans/soldiers-PTSD, TBI etc. Children and youth- depression, anxiety, ADHD, autism, violence prevention, sensory integration approaches
