TermDefinition
= A function always begins with
$ Represents an absolute function
# Several of these represent that the number is too big to fit in the column
Select Tool This tool looks like a white plus sign and is placed in the center of the row
Fill Tool This one looks like a black plus sign and appears when the cursor is placed on the bottom right hand corner over the tiny black box
Move Tool This one looks like a plus sign with arrows coming out. It is placed on the side of a cell
Absolute Function Cell address that does not change when copied in a formula
Average Function Built in mathematical function that determines the average of a block of cells
Count An excel function that counts all numeric values in a range
Count A Number of cells in a range containing both text and values
Function Built-in mathematical function
Max Function Function that returns the highest number in a range of cells
Min Function Returns the lowest number in a range
Mixed Reference Cell address that adjusts or changes when it is copied
Relative Function Cell address that adjusts either the row or the column when the formula is copied
Text Wrapping An automatic feature that moves text to the next line when a line is full and text can no longer fit
