AutoComplete automatically completes the text of the current date, day of the week, and month
Backstage View offers quick access to commands for performing many file management tasks
Badges Small Square labels that contain the information
Block Style aligns text along the left margin, including the date, inside address, salutation, body of the letter, closing, and signature
Command An instruction that you give Word by clicking a button or entering information into a command box
Connection Status Menu in the lower-right corner of Word Help lets you determine whether the Help screen displays content available at Office Online or only those topics currently installed on your computer
Dialog Box A box that displays additional information and found in the Dialog Box Launcher
Dialog Box Launcher A small arrow in the lower right hand corner of a Group
Groups Collections of related Word commands on a Tab
I-Beam Cursor when hovering over a text box
Insertion Point In the upper left hand corner of document where text begins
KeyTips Replaces some keyboard shortcuts used in previous versions of Word
Menu List of options
Mini Toolbar A small toolbar with popular commands that appears when you point to selected text
Mixed Punctuation requires a colon after the salutation and a comma after the closing
Nonprinting Characters symbols for certain formatting commands
Opening Puctuation requires no punctuation after the salutation or the closing
Preview enables you to visually check your document for errors before printing
Print enable you to send documents straight to a default printer and choose the number of copies to be printed
Quick Access Toolbar Contains commands that users access most often, such as Save, Undo, and Redo
Redo Repeats your last action
Ribbon Top Bar on Word, divided into Tabs and further divided into Groups
Save Saves an existing document
Save As Saves a document in a specific format
ScreenTip When you hover over a command, This appears and displays the name of the command and additional information about the command
Settings enable you to set document properties
Shortcut Menu Contains a list of useful commands
Tabs Areas of activity that are divided up into groups
Undo Lets you cancel or undo the last command or action
WordWrap automatically wraps text to the next line as it reaches the right margin
