accuracy | the quality or state of being correct or precise. |
backspace | a key on a typewriter or computer keyboard that causes the carriage or cursor to move backward. |
caps lock | Caps lock is a lock key found on many computer keyboards, depending on the local keyboard layout they implement. It is located in the position of a similar Shift lock key found in some other keyboard layouts. |
control key | a key that alters the function of another key if both are pressed at the same time. |
delete | remove or obliterate (written or printed matter), esp. by drawing a line through it or marking it with a delete sign. |
enter/return | spacing between paragraphs. |
home keys | the basic key in which a work is written; the tonic key. |
function keys | a button on a computer keyboard, distinct from the main alphanumeric keys, to which software can assign a particular function. |
gross WPM | measure of typing speed. |
Hardware | tools, machinery, and other durable equipment. |
Homerow | the row on a typewriter or computer keyboard that contains the home keys |
WPM | words per minute. |
Keyboarding Posture | proper sitting for the keyboard |
Keyboard Shortcut | A keyboard shortcut is a combination of keys that, when pressed simultaneously, perform some task that ordinarily requires use of a mouse or other input device and may take longer to do. |
QWERTY | denoting the standard layout on English-language typewriters and keyboards, having q, w, e, r, t, and y as the first keys from the left on the top row of letters. |
Service Keys | service management. |
Shift Key | a slight change in position, direction, or tendency. |
Software | the programs and other operating information used by a computer. |
Spaceware | a long key on a typewriter or computer keyboard for making a space between words. |
PrtSc | Print screen is a key present on most PC keyboards. It is typically situated in the same section as the break key and scroll lock key. The print screen may share the same key as system request. |
Net WPM | internet slang. |
