Static electricity | is the build up of electric charge on an object |
Electrical Conductor | is a material through which charges move freely |
Electric insulator | is a material through which charges cannot move easily |
Semiconductor | are a special class of materials that conduct electric charge better than electric conductors |
Electric current | the rate of flow of electrical charges |
Voltage | amount of work required to move each unit of charge between two points |
Resistance | the opposition to the flow of electric charges |
Electric circuit | a complete, closed path through which electric charges flow |
series curcuit | all parts connected in a row that forms one path for electric charges to follow |
parallel circuit | electric charges have more than one path that they can follow |
