A Date To Remember/All Around Our State

Kentucky became a state on June 1,1792.
Daniel Boone first traveled to Kentucky in 1767.
Abraham Lincoln was born in a log cabin near Hodgenville on February 12, 1809.
One of the largest slave revolts in America history happened near Lexington in 1848.
The first Kentucky Derby was held in 1875.
Missouri is Kentucky’s western border state.
West Virginia and Virginia are Kentucky’s eastern Border States.
Tennessee is Kentucky’s southern Border State.
Ohio, Illinois, and Indiana are Kentucky’s northern Border States
The river that flows along Kentucky’s northern border is the Ohio River.
