Convention | Gathering or formal meeting. |
Delegates | Representatives from a party. |
Caucus | A closed meeting for one party. |
Patronage | A political power to appoint someone to a certain position. |
Spoils system | Political practice. |
Primary | State-run or state-regulated election |
Presidential primary | An american election with many parties able to enter. |
Independent voters | A voter with no party preference. |
Ticked splittting | Voting for both parties. |
Major parties | An association that promotes certain political goals |
