Term | Definition |

Inventory/Stock | A complete list of items such as property, goods in stock, or the contents of a building. |
Demand | The desire of consumers, clients, employers, etc. for a particular commodity, service, or other item. |
Costing | The proposed or estimated cost of producing or undertaking something. |
Barriers to Entry | Obstacles that make it difficult to enter a given market. |
Transportation | A system or means of transporting people or goods. |
Supplier | anyone who provides goods or services to a company or individuals |
Manufacturer | a person or company that makes goods for sale. |
Wholesaler/Distributer | Wholesaling involves selling merchandise to retailers. A wholesaler can act as a middleman, brokering deals between these businesses. |
Retailer | A retailer purchases goods or products in large quantities from manufacturers directly or through a wholesale, and then sells smaller quantities to the consumer for a profit. |
Billing | the process of preparing or sending invoices. |
Warehousing | the action or process of storing goods in a warehouse. |
Vendor | a person or company offering something for sale, especially a trader in the street. |
Logistics | the commercial activity of transporting goods to customers. |
Negotiation | discussion aimed at reaching an agreement. |
Distribution | the action of sharing something out among a number of recipients. |
Sourcing | find out where (something) can be obtained. |
Break-bulk | denoting a system of transporting cargo as separate pieces rather than in containers. |
Freight | goods transported in bulk by truck, train, ship, or aircraft. |
Distribution Channel | The chain of businesses or intermediaries through which a good or service passes until it reaches the end consumer. |
Raw Materials | the basic material from which a product is made. |
