What are the 5 elements of culture? | religion, language, food, sports, holidays |
What are the three regions of North Carolina? | Coastal, Piedmont, Mountains |
What special characteristics does the Coastal region have? | warm weather, sandy soil, flat lands and periods of rain |
What special characteristics does the Piedmont region have? | seasonal weather (warm summers but not cold winters), clay soil |
What special characteristics does the Mountain region have? | colder weather, rocky soil, high elevations, periods of snow |
What is one positive Human Environmental Interaction? | planting a tree because trees will filter the Carbon Dioxide from the air and replace it with Oxygen |
Define Absolute Location. | it is your exact position on Earth such as GPS coordinates |
Define Relative Location. | it relates to your location to another place such as West of Winston Salem |
What is one negative Human Environmental Interaction? | an oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico that kills animals, destroys their habitats and disrupts the ecosystem |
