What are the four types of rhythm? regular, graduated, random, and gradtion
What is asymmetrical balance? Example? not identical, a desk with pens on one side and pencils on the other
What is the difference between horizontal and vertical lines? horizontal run left and right while vertical run up and down
What is the golden mean? 3 to 5
What is the difference between shape and form? shape is 2d while form is 3d
What are the five types of balance? radial, vertical, horizontal, symmetrical, and asymmetrical
What does unity or harmony mean? when all other principles of design have been achieved
What are the two things texture involves? how a surface feels or how you think a surface feels
What are the four types of line? vertical, horizontal, diagonal, curved
What is proportion? the in which parts relate to a design as a whole
Which of the five types of balance suggests excitement or interest? diagonal
What is symmetrical balance? Example? identical, a fireplace
What is emphasis? What is another name for it? the main focus; focus point
What happens when you use a continuous line? your eyes follow it around the room
What is another name for symmetrical balance? formal
What is another name for asymmetrical balance? informal
What is the difference between gradation and radiation? gradation is the same thing except for one thing; radiation starts in the center and travels out
