QuestionAnswer
Any Sheriff's Office member, sworn or civilian, who observes, suspects or is informed of misconduct by an employee is responsible for reporting the alleged or suspected violation(s) to a supervisor or directly to the Internal Affairs Unit
If the allegation concerns a potential criminal violation by an employee the notification should be made directly to the Integrity Unit
All alleged or suspected incidents of misconduct by members of the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office will be recorded and investigated
Appropriate action will be taken
When misconduct involving a violation of local, state, or federal laws is in–progress the ranking officer at the scene will notify the Integrity Unit immediately
