Judaism | this major religion is a monotheistic religion that began in Southeast Asia. The Old Testament including the Torah is the main holy book of the religion. Important figures of the religion include Abraham and Moses. |
United Kingdom | this country sent explorers like Henry Hudson to North America |
Spain | this country sent conquistadors like Cortes and Pizarro to the Central and South America for gold, glory, and God |
France | this country sent explorers like Samuel de Champion and Jacques Cartier to Canada to claim land and for furs |
Portugal | this country sent explorers around the tip of Africa to establish new trade routes to Asia as well as colonize Brazil |

Christopher Columbus | this explorer sailed for King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella of Spain. he sailed west hoping to find a route to Asia. he rediscovered the Americas ( Cuba, the Bahamas, and South America) |
Archduke Ferdinand | this man was assassinated by Serbia nationalists beginning World War 1 |
