Injunction | An order that prevents something from being done. |
Jurisdiction | The power to decide a case. |
Jury | Panel of citizens who help interpret society's customs. |
Constitutional Law | Created when constitutions are amended or adopted. |
Substantive Law | Law that defines legal rights and duties. |
Unconstitutional | When a law conflicts with a constitution. |
Statutes | Laws enacted by state and federal legislatures. |
Ordinances | Laws enacted by local legislatures. |
Ethics | The practice of deciding what is right or wrong in a reasoned, impartial manner. |
Cyberlaw | Law intended to govern the use of the Internet. |
Procedural Law | Law that deals with enforcing legal rights and duties. |
