Obstetrician | Doctor who specializes in providing medical care for pregnant women and delivering babies. |

Folic Acid | A vitamin that is important for forming the baby's neural tube. |
HCG( Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) | Hormone produced in pregnant women. |
Trimester | A period of about 3 months. |
Toxemia | A condition that affects a woman's kidneys, heart, or blood during pregnancy. |
Miscarriage | Refers to the natural ending of a pregnancy. |
Amniotic fluid | Regulates the baby's temperature, cushions the baby against possible injury, and allows the baby to mover around easily; |
Umbilical cord | A flexible cord that contains blood vessels and connects the baby to the placenta. |
