mesencephalic nucleus | proprioception from the TMJ & facial muscs (VII) (midbrain) |
salivatory nucleus | pre-ganglionic parasymp to submandibular ganglion (saliva) & to ptergopalantine ganglion (tears) (VII) & to otic ganglion (saliva) Medulla |
Solitary nucleus | taste (ant 2/3 of tongue from VII, post 1/3 from IX); baroreceptors & chemoreceptors from carotid & aortic bodies (IX); sensation from pharynx, larynx, & viscera (X); medulla |
