Professional Ethics Unit

TermDefinition
Ethics Moral principles that govern a person's or group's behavior
Personal Morals a way for a community to define appropriate activity; the collection of beliefs as to what constitutes a good life.
Professional A person engaged in a specified activity, esp. a sport or branch of the performing arts, as a main paid occupation rather than as a pastime
NAEYC is the largest nonprofit association in the United States representing early childhood education teachers, experts, and advocates in center-based and family day care.
Community A group of people living together in one place, esp. one practicing common ownership
Peers A person of the same age, status, or ability as another specified person.
DECAL meeting the child care and early education needs of Georgia's children and their families.
Accountability liable to account for one's actions.
