What is a vector? A quantity that has magnitude and direction.
What is a scaler? A quantity that only has magnitude.
What are the 6 vectors? Acceleration, velocity, displacement, force, weight, momentum.
What are the 10 scalers? Area, power, pressure, speed, distance, temperature, time, energy, volume, mass.
What is distance? How far an object has moved.
What is displacement? How far and in what direction an object has moved from its starting point.
What directions would lead to positive displacement? North and east
What directions would lead to negative displacement? South and west
What is the distance and displacement of a runner who travels 5km east then turns around and goes 3 km west? Distance: 8km Displacement: 2km [E] or +2km
What is speed? How fast an object moves
What is velocity? How fast and in what direction an object has moved from its starting point
How is speed found? Speed is determined by the distance covered in a certain amount of time.
What is the formula for determining speed? speed = distance/time
In the winter olympics, American Haley Anderson won a silver medal in the open water event by swimming 10km in 1 hour, 57 minutes and 38.6 seconds. Find her speed in meters per second. 1.42 m/sec
Explain the variables in the formula V=d/t when trying to find average velocity V= average velocity (there is supposed to be a line over 'V') d= displacement t= time

What is the formula used when the data present is Vf, Vi, a and d? Vf^2= Vi^2+2(a)(d)
