Why be an entrepreneur? having the opportunity to be creative, being your own boss, doing something you enjoy, having the freedom to set your own schedule, job security, and making more money.
What does it take to be an entrepreneur? persistent,creative, responsible, inquisitive, goal-oriented, independent, self demanding, self confident, risk taking, restless, action oriented, and enthusiastic.
competition the rivalry between businesses for consumer dollars.
investment The amount of money a person puts into his or her business as capital
capital The buildings, equipment, tools and other goods needed to produce a product or the money used to buy these items
role model a person with attitudes and achievements that others wish to emulate.
foundation skills The skills used in all jobs and when setting up and running a business.
profile a set of characteristics or qualities that identifies a type or category of person.
achiever a person with a record of success.
rewards of going into business for yourself: job security, making a lot of money, making your own schedule, being your own boss, & getting to be creative.
risks of going into business for yourself: working long hours, having an uncertain income, being fully responsible, and risking one's investment
background, characteristics, and skills of sucessful entrepreneurs: anyone from any background can become an entrepreneur; characteristics- twelve characteristics; skills- ten essential skills.
techniques that will improve your potential for becoming an entrepreneur build a profile, and strengthen your entrepreneurial characteristics.

owning a business vs. working for someone owning a business- make your own hours, fully responsible, and job security. working for someone- not as much responsibility, no job security, and work hours they choose.
agree with the concept that everyone can become an entrepreneur? i think so, because if you put your mind to doing something, then you can.
entrepreneurial characteristics and achievement motivation. they go together; to be an entrepreneur you must be motivated and want to achieve something.
personality traits that interfere with becoming an entrepreneur? shy, not willing to take risks, not people oriented
why do some people become entrepreneurs and others do not because some people have more drive and motivation than others.
how are role models important? they help get you motivated and people you can go to for help
are the personal characteristics needed by entrepreneurs necessary for success in any career? I think some are, others are mainly for owning your own business.
