Mechanization | The shift to a greater use of machines, instead of just human labor, to produce products or grow crops |
Textile Industry | Cloth making industry. First industry to convert to factory and production methods. In America, the T.I., first developed in the New England states |
Henry Ford | Famous engineer and businessman who used assembly line techniques to create the first automobile. Model T Ford was the best selling car in the early 1900's |
John D. Rockefeller | Ohio businessman who started the Standard Oil Company |
