Commandment A rule that God wanted the Israelites us to follow
Alphabet A set of letters or other characters used to write a language
Psalm Sacred song or poem used in worship
Proverb A wise saying
Exile A forced absence from one's home or country
Synagogue A Jewish house of worship
Sabbath A weekly day of worship and rest
Scroll A long document made from pieces of parchment sewn together
Kosher Prepared according to Jewish dietary law
Diaspora The group of Jews living outside of Jewish homeland
Rabbi The official leader of a Jewish congregation
