Siddhartha Gautama Was born around 563BC in the kingdom of "Kosala"
What is the story of Siddhartha Gautama? The Queen has a dream that tells her that she will have a son. If he stays home with his family the prince will become a mighty ruler.
What is "Karma"? Karma is a force caused by a person's good and bad acts.
What is a monk? A monk is a man who gives up all he owns and gives his life to religion.
What are the Four Noble Truths? (1) Life is good. (2) Suffering is caused by people wanting more power o more pleasure. (3) Suffering can end if people stop wanting things. (4) People must follow 8 different laws if they want to stop wanting things.
Eightfold Path It is a way to end suffering. Instructions on how to live a proper way. It will help you end suffering in your life.
The Middle Way The Laws of the Eightfold Path were not to strict nor to easy. Just right in the middle.
Customs Believed in Buddha as a God. Thought if you followed Buddhism it would end suffering.
What else did they do? Built gardens around royal palace. King allowed no harm into his son's life. Buddha died at 80 in 483 BC.
