What is a renewable resource? a resource that can be replaced in a reasonable amount of time
What is a nonrenewable resource? a resource that once used cannot be replaced in a reasonable amount of time
What is pollution? a waste product that harms living things and damages ecosystems
What are examples of renewable resources? air, water, sunlight, and fruit trees
What are examples of non-renewable resources? fossil fuels, coal, oil, gasoline
What is smog? a mixture of smoke, water vapor, and chemicals
What causes air pollution? factories, vehicles, and burning of any fuels
How does waste get into the water cycle? factories and mines dump waste into lakes and farmers and homeowners use fertilizer and pesticides that can get into ground water.
