Definitions For Types of Numbers

TermDefinition
Real Numbers Set of Rational and Irrational Numbers
Rational Numbers Any number that can be written in the form a/b , where a and b are integers, and b is not zero.
Terminating Decimals has a finite number of digits.
Repeating Decimals block of one or more digits that repeat indefinitely.
Whole Numbers Positive numbers without a fraction or decimal, including zeros.
Integers The set of whole numbers and their opposites
