What is a monochromatic color scheme? Using tints and shades of only one color
What is an analogous color scheme? Using three of more colors that are next to each other on the color wheel
What is an accented neutral color scheme? Using neutral colors with only a hint of color
What color scheme is 2 colors opposite on the color wheel. Complementary
How many colors in a split complemetary color scheme? Three colors (any color and two colors located next to that colors complement)
Name the Primary colors. Red, Yellow, Blue
Name the secondary colors. Violet, Green, Orange
What is the value of a color? the lightness or darkness of a color
What is the intensity of a color mean? the brightness or dullness of a color
What is the hue? it refers to the color itself
How do you make a tint? add pure white to a saturated color to get a lighter color
How do you make a shade? add pure black to a saturated color to get a darker color
What are the warm colors? Red, Orange, Yellow
What are the cool colors.? Blue, Green, Violet
What are the neutral colors? Black, Grey, White, Brown, Tan
What is unique about the primary colors? You cannot achieve these colors by mixing any other colors together
Name 3 tertiary colors. Red-violet, Blue-green, Yellow-orange
What is the proper way to name a tertiary color? First state the primary color than the secondary color
What is another name for a tertiary color? Intermediate
What is a triadic color scheme? Using three colors that are located within equal distance of each other
