Permissive Style | Management style that sets few expectations and rules for students and enforces them inconsistently. |
Authoritative Style | Management style that seeks to shape students' behavior through setting high expectations, explanations, and consistent application of consequences. |
School Policies | Set overall guidelines and generally address major issues such as attendance and dress code. |
Class Rules | Guidelines for student behavior specific to a class or teacher. |
Classroom Procedures | They translate the class rules into concrete actions expected for students. |
Nonverbal Cues | Often used to stop minor misbehavior. |
